and then another add (not really but it feels like it). or upon death it will spawn an add, and then another add. That first mob will either die and grace us with a feeling of progress. That first mob that we kill will decide whether I'm going to have a somewhat enjoyable time or whether I am going to be filled with sadness and rage. Not just in-game dread, but actual real-life dread. Add all this together, and I'm already at a huge level of dissatisfaction when running missions.īut even if all of that were the case, I could put up with it if it wasn't for this one factor.Įvery time I enter a T10 Delving mission, I am filled with dread. they cause more lag than any other content in the game from my experience (and everyone else I've discussed this with). On top of this, missions are incredibly laggy. They are incredibly tedious and feel very low-effort in design: the environments are reused and the objectives are mundane. The malice effect in the T10 delvings that causes every enemy to spawn an add, which then also spawns another add, is literally the worst experience I've ever had in 9 years of playing LotRO.īefore we get into this specific issue, I'd like to say that I think missions as a whole are a terrible idea from a gameplay point of view.
